Why I Make Films
My name is Mitchell, and I’m a filmmaker based in Indianapolis.
For more than a decade, I’ve been making films about people.
That started with weddings, where I learned that the moments people remember most are rarely the ones you plan for.
Over time, I realized that same idea applies far beyond weddings.
Whether I’m filming an artist, a nonprofit, a local business, or a family, the stories that stay with us are always about people.
I don’t begin with a shot list or a script. I begin by listening, observing, and understanding what makes someone or something meaningful.
My goal is simple: to create documentary films that people will still care about years from now.
