Ritz Charles Wedding Videographer
A cinematic film to tell the story. A documentary film to preserve the day.
Why I Love Filming Weddings at The Ritz Charles
The Ritz Charles has become one of the most recognizable wedding venues in central Indiana for good reason. With the chapel, Garden Pavilion, and reception spaces all on one property, the day tends to flow naturally. Couples spend less time traveling and more time with the people they came to celebrate with.
As a wedding filmmaker, that’s what stands out to me. The setting certainly helps, but what I remember most from weddings here are the conversations, reactions, and little moments between everything else. Ritz Charles gives those moments room to happen.

A Wedding Film from Ritz Charles
Here’s a wedding film I created at The Ritz Charles that captures the atmosphere, emotion, and story of the day.
Why Ritz Charles Works So Well for Wedding Films
Every Wedding Feels Unique
One thing I’ve always appreciated about filming at Ritz Charles is that no two weddings feel exactly alike. Between the different ceremony and reception spaces, each couple ends up with a wedding that has its own personality. It’s one of the reasons I never feel like I’m filming the same wedding twice.
A Venue That Gives You Options
One of the things I appreciate most about Ritz Charles is how much flexibility it offers. That variety means every wedding feels a little different, even at the same venue.
A Seamless Wedding Day
One of the biggest advantages of Ritz Charles is how smoothly the day flows. From getting ready through the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing, everything happens in one place. Couples spend less time traveling and more time celebrating with the people they love.
Frequently Asked Questions About Filming Weddings at Ritz Charles
Have you filmed weddings at Ritz Charles before?
Yes. I’ve had the opportunity to film weddings at Ritz Charles and have become familiar with the venue’s layout and event spaces. Every wedding is different, but knowing the venue allows me to focus on the people and moments instead of spending time figuring out logistics.
How do you capture ceremony audio inside the chapel?
I use multiple audio recorders throughout the ceremony to ensure clear, reliable sound. By placing discreet microphones on key participants and recording backup audio, I’m able to preserve your vows and the emotion of the ceremony as naturally as possible.
Do you work well with photographers?
Absolutely. Your photographer and I are there for the same reason: to help you enjoy your wedding day while preserving it beautifully. I make it a priority to communicate throughout the day so we can work together seamlessly, giving you space to be present instead of feeling pulled in different directions.
Can you film both a cinematic and documentary wedding film?
Yes. Every wedding collection includes both a cinematic film and a documentary film. The cinematic film captures the emotion and story of your wedding day, while the documentary film preserves the moments exactly as they happened—from your full ceremony and speeches to the candid interactions you’ll want to revisit for years to come. Together, they give you both a beautiful story and a complete record of your wedding day.

Do you use drones at Ritz Charles?
When permitted, yes. I enjoy using drone footage to help establish the setting and showcase the venue from a unique perspective. Because drone flights are subject to FAA regulations, weather conditions, and venue policies, I always confirm that it’s safe and allowed before flying. If drones aren’t permitted, I’ll capture the venue using other cinematic techniques to ensure your film still feels complete.
How do you film without being distracting?
My goal is to document your wedding day as naturally as possible. I don’t believe in constantly interrupting moments or asking you to repeat them for the camera. Instead, I quietly observe and anticipate what will happen next, allowing you to stay present with your family and friends while I preserve the day as it unfolds.
What if we're awkward in front of the camera?
Most of my couples tell me that before their wedding. The good news is that you don’t need to perform for the camera. I give gentle guidance when it’s helpful, but most of the day is filmed naturally. My goal is to capture the way your wedding actually felt, not create moments that didn’t happen.
